Skating course roof collapses in Massachusetts, no one hurt

(Reuters) – Part of a snow-covered roof of a Massachusetts skating course collapsed on Saturday as a girl hockey group was practicing, though no one was hurt, authorities said.

The roof during a Metropolis Skating Rink in Canton, a Boston suburb, gave approach shortly after 7 a.m. EST, a city military dialect pronounced in a statement.

Photos on a CBS Boston website showed waste and sleet on a rink’s aspect from one a third of a roof that collapsed.

A girl hockey group was practicing when a roof failed.

“However, everybody is safely accounted for,” a matter said.

Police told CBS Boston that atmosphere vigour from a fall blew out a front partial of a building.

Storms have dumped some-more than 100 inches of sleet on Boston this winter. The National Weather Service is forecasting adult to 7 inches of new sleet for Boston on Sunday.

The military matter pronounced state inspectors and officials with a Canton building dialect were evaluating a collapse.
