Add another name to New England’s washing list of banged-up players.

NFL Media’s Albert Breer reported Monday that Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has been diagnosed with a high ankle twist after holding a violence in Sunday’s loss to a Dolphins.

Armed with a AFC’s No. 2 playoff seed, a Patriots don’t play again until Saturday, Jan. 16, giving Brady another 12 days to rest a ankle, that he harm on a abrasive strike from defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh. The timing is terrible for New England, though Brady has played by worse.

“I’m flattering sore,” Brady pronounced after a game, per ESPN.com, “but it will be all right.”

Special-teamer Matthew Slater isn’t disturbed about Brady’s status, observant Sunday: “You never wish to see 12 get hit, or 12 have an injury, he’s so critical to a football group … though that guy’s tough as nails. If there is one thing we know about him after personification with him 8 years, not too many dudes worse than him.”

The Patriots enter a playoffs as an injury-ravaged club, though we’re not disturbed — nonetheless — about Brady’s accessibility for a local round. Barring disaster, he’ll be ready.
