Dad Killed After Taking Daughter Hostage in Olympia, Washington: Cops

A stabbing think who hold his three-year-old daughter during knifepoint as a tellurian defense during a hours-long deadlock was fatally shot by military on Sunday.

Authorities were called to a home in Olympia, Washington, about 5:30 p.m. internal time (8:30 p.m. ET) and detected a 27-year-old male pang from life-threatening gash wounds to his face and body, Thurston County Sheriff’s Office Chief Dave Pearsall told NBC News.

He pronounced a suspect, who was a victim’s cousin, “took his possess three-year-old daughter hostage” in a bedroom.

According to Pearsall, officers looking by a window speckled a girl’s father holding her in a “bear cuddle with a blade adult to her.”

Hostage negotiators and a SWAT group were called to a scene.

The three-year-old girl’s life was deemed to be in “imminent” risk and a SWAT group marksman dismissed a shot into a bedroom about 8:30 p.m. (11:30 p.m. ET), officials said.

The child was unscathed though her father died during a scene. She was after expelled into a caring of her mother.

Authorities pronounced it was misleading what led to a initial stabbing incident. Police had not expelled a names of anyone concerned by early Monday.
