Christmas tree recycling: 19 LA dropoff locations open Sunday

Ready to get absolved of that Christmas tree?

The city of Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation will be accepting used trees for recycling during 19-dropoff locations Sunday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Trees will be recycled into compost and mulch. Trees will be supposed during a following Recreation and Parks Department locations and glow stations:

–Baldwin Hills: Rancho Cienega Recreation Center, 5001 Rodeo Road
–Encino: Balboa Sports Center, 17015 Burbank Blvd.
–Griffith Park: Los Angeles Zoo parking lot during a connection of a 5 and 134 freeways
–Rancho Park: Cheviot Hills Recreation Center, 2551 Motor Ave.
–Sunland: Sunland Park, 8651 Foothill Blvd.
–Westchester: Westchester Municipal Building, 7166  West Manchester Ave.
–Bel-Air: Fire Station No. 71, 107 S. Beverly Glen Blvd.
–Crenshaw: Fire Station No. 94, 4470 Coliseum St.
–Cypress Park: Fire Station No. 44, 1410 Cypress Ave.
–Hancock Park: Fire Station No. 29, 4029 W. Wilshire Blvd.
–Hollywood: Fire Station No. 82, 5769 Hollywood Blvd.
–Franklin Canyon: Fire Station No. 108, 12520 Mulholland Drive
–Porter Ranch: Fire Station No. 28, 11641 Corbin Ave.
–Sherman Oaks: Fire Station No. 88, 5101 N. Sepulveda Blvd.
–South Los Angeles: Fire Station No. 21, 1192 E. 51st St.
–South Los Angeles: Fire Station No. 64, 10811 S. Main St.
–Sun Valley: Fire Station No. 77, 9224 Sunland Blvd.
–Watts: Fire Station No. 65, 1801 E. Century Blvd.
–West Hills: Fire Station No. 106, 23004 Roscoe Blvd.

For curbside collection, residents of single-family homes are suggested to mislay all decorations, braid and stands and to cut their trees into pieces that fit in immature bins for unchanging pickup. Residents of multifamily buildings are suggested to place their trees curbside on unchanging collection days.
